Dr. Alvin Lo, DMD
Dr. Alvin Lo, is originally from Markham, Ontario, graduated from Western University in 2004 and from the University of British Columbia Dental School in 2010.
Dr. Lo’s simple goal is to help patients make educated decisions about their health. Then, with his handpicked team of assistants, hygienists, administration and specialists, work together to achieve those goals. He will always take the time to give and explain an honest professional opinion based on his findings and disease-prevention philosophy, not on insurance plan benefits or coverage.
Dr. Lo believes it is important to detect and manage problems early, including straightening teeth so they last a lifetime.

Dr. Lo strives to expand his skills, knowledge and treatment scope by regularly attending continuing education courses and conventions locally and all over North America each year. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family and playing music with friends.
Dr. Jenny Kim, DDS
Dr. Jenny Kim who grew up in Burlington, completed her undergraduate studies from McMaster University and from there she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery at Western University. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and actively attends continuing education courses, as she finds it important to be up to date with current dental techniques. Dr. Kim’s goal is to provide the highest standard of care to address your dental concerns with a gentle and patient-centric approach. Her calm demeanour offers a comfortable setting for patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kim likes to dedicate her time volunteering and organizing dental mission trips. One of her most memorable experiences to date has been traveling to Jamaica and Guatemala to provide dental care to under serviced communities (pre-Covid). Also, in her free time she enjoys playing a round of golf, travelling, and trying out new restaurants.
Amber, Business/Treatment Coordinator
Graduating as a Level II certified dental assistant in 2008, Amber lived and worked chairside in dentistry for 7 years in Bermuda before moving home to Ontario. While in Bermuda, she also managed and promoted island charity events for many associations including the Bermuda Boxing Federation, Bermuda Rugby Association and Bermuda Amateur Muay Thai Association. She is our most organized, productive and energetic team member, quick to laugh and we are so lucky to have her!
Amber is experienced in Treatment Coordination and management roles within the dental field, and approaches her position with an empathetic, relationship building philosophy. She has completed multiple online diplomas in Customer Service and believes passionately that a customer service experience can affect the entire course of someone’s day.
Outside of work, Amber spends time with her furbaby Dallas, playing the ukulele and walking in nature.
Carol, Registered Dental Hygienist
Carol has truly seen the evolution of this practice. A patient at the office since she was young, Carol started working as a hygienist here in 1991 and has been a true rock for the office through the years. Once the youngest team member and now our veteran, it is Carol’s presence that reminds everyone where this practice came from and how lucky we are to be able to carry it into the future. Carol has transitioned along with grace and an open mind, always leading by example by putting hard work and patient care front and centre.
Carol has 3 lovely children, a fun loving husband, and is known to yell at the television during every Leafs game…
La-Toya, Certified Dental Assistant II
As a second career, La-Toya graduated from Everest College in 2013, and has been a Certified Level II Dental Assistant and active member of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association ever since. La-Toya is also cross trained as an Orthodontic Assistant from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.
La-Toya is the newest member at aLo dental, joining in 2023. The patient experience is her top priority, and she strives to ensure patients feel comfortable and at ease in the dental chair.
When not working, La-Toya spends as much time as possible in nature with her husband and 2 sons. At home she loves gardening, and caring for her many houseplants and family cat, Midnight.
Leeann, Certified Dental Assistant II
Leeann is a certified level II dental assistant, graduated from George Brown College class of 2022. She takes pride in her profession and enjoys helping our patients with all their dental needs. She will be with you every step of the way in your journey of achieving a healthy smile as the head of clinical support and our Invisalign program.
Outside of the office, Leeann likes to spend time with friends, try new foods and listen to music. Her favourite way to reconnect with herself and the community is through yoga and aerial dance.
Mary, Registered Dental Hygienist
Mary, originally from Markham, Ontario, graduated with honours from George Brown College in 2013. She joined Dr. Lo’s team as a dental hygienist in 2018, eager to assist her patients in achieving their optimal oral health. She strives to do so by staying current in her field and sharing her knowledge. When she is not working, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband and son, listening to music and cuddling with her cat, Axel. She believes that laughter really is the best medicine!
Merina, Registered Dental Hygienist
Merina is a passionate dental hygienist with over 8 years of dedicated experience. She holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Guelph and a diploma in Dental Hygiene from George Brown College. Her enthusiasm for dentistry goes beyond the clinical setting. She takes pride in promoting oral health and fostering positive patient experiences.
Outside the dental office, Merina channels her creativity into paintings, especially watercolour and acrylics on canvas, and indulging in the art of pottery painting.
Sara, Patient Coordinator, Certified Dental Assistant II
Sara graduated from the Dental Assisting programs at CDI College in 2005 and has been in the profession since. Sara’s favourite part of the job is interacting with patients and she strives to provide the best service. Her calm demeanor and positive attitude will make you feel comfortable during any dental procedure!
Sara is happily married and a mother of two. On her free time, she enjoys travel, concerts and hikes with her family. She is a big foodie that loves to cook, bake and try out new local restaurants.
